The skin is part of the integumentary system. As the largest organ in the body in weight, it has many purposes. Primarily, the skin functions to maintain the internal homeostasis (stability) of the body and protect it from the influences of the outside world. In this way, the skin of the human body is the tent covering of the Tabernacle.
Read MoreThe inner curtain (also referred to as the veil) of the Tabernacle separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place (Ex. 26:33), the innermost room that held the Ark of the Covenant. It hung from clasps and was decorated with cherubim and other designs made from blue, purple, and scarlet embroidered thread. In the human body, the inner curtain is represented by the diaphragm, and its embroidered design represents capillaries (small blood vessels).

Read MoreChurch hurt is the deep emotional pain a person experiences due to the physical, verbal, sexual, psychological, or financial abuse inflicted upon them by a church system, organization, group, leader, or individual. Though it doesn’t get much attention, church hurt is debilitating to individuals and the universal Church. Just as a runner can not run efficiently with an injury, a Christian can not run the race of faith (Heb. 12:1) efficiently or effectively with unhealed church hurt wounds. Therefore healing is essential for the emotional health of the hurt and the overall mission of the Church.
Read MoreThe kidneys are bean-shaped organs that filter waste from the blood and are a part of the urinary system and the endocrine system. They serve the body by excreting waste products into urine, which flows from the kidneys into the ureters and then into the urinary bladder.

Read MoreThe church seems to have a conflicting relationship with what some people refer to as “the anointing.” Some circles are all about it, some don’t have anything to say about it at all, and others rarely mention it outside of harshly criticizing those who proudly boast of its work in their lives and ministries. But what exactly is the anointing?
Read MoreGod the Father and the Holy Spirit (Mother) are represented in the human body via the lungs. The fruit of the respiratory tree, the alveoli, represent figs.
Read MoreThe respiratory system consists of the respiratory tract that is divided into upper and lower divisions. The upper division includes the nose, nasal cavities, sinuses, pharynx (the throat), and part of the larynx (the voice box). The lower division is made up of the lower part of the larynx, the trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli. In our anatomical analogy, the upper division represents the husband and the lower division represents the wife.
Read MoreScripture has already defined the husband as the head of the marriage (Eph. 5:23), therefore in an anatomical metaphor the wife would be the neck. Though smaller and delicate in comparison to the head (1 Pet. 3:7), the neck is essential to the body, just as the wife is to the marriage. Without the neck, the brain would not be able to carry out its missions, just as the husband can not complete his mission (Gen. 1:28) without the wife.
